How to use it

  1. Volume - how much finished liquid you want, e.g. 30 or 60 ml.
  2. VG/PG - the ratio of glycerin to propylene glycol. Flavors and nicotine base contain PG or VG too; the calculator accounts for it, so the «Actual» line shows the final ratio.
  3. Flavors - the percentage of each in the total volume. The dosage of a particular flavor is in the catalog: the average share across thousands of recipes.
  4. Grams or millilitres. Weighing is more precise: glycerin is thick and sticks to the syringe. VG density is 1.261 g/ml, PG 1.036 g/ml.

VG/PG ratio: which to choose

VG/PGWhat forLiquid
50/50Pods, cigalikes, high-resistance coilsBright flavor, moderate vapor, wicks well
60/40All-round devicesBalance of flavor and vapor
70/30Sub-ohm tanks, rebuildable atomizersDense vapor, smooth draw
80/20+Drippers, high-power devicesMaximum vapor, slightly quieter flavor

How much flavor to add

Usually 10-20% of flavors in total. A single flavor is most often 1-8%: concentrated ones (Capella, FlavourArt, Inawera) start at 0.5-3%, milder ones (TPA, Flavor West) 3-10%. Exact figures for each are in the flavor catalog.

FAQ

How do I calculate nicotine?

Enter the strength of the finished liquid and the strength of the base you dilute. The calculator shows how much base to add. We do not sell nicotine products.

Can I mix without nicotine?

Yes, leave 0 mg/ml - you get a nicotine-free liquid of VG, PG and flavors.

Why does the actual ratio differ from the one I set?

Flavors are usually PG-based, so the more flavor, the more PG in the end. The calculator shows the real ratio in the «Actual» line.
